Welcome to the Comptroller
of Maryland's Internet tax filing system. This system
allows online electronic filing of resident or nonresident
personal income tax returns along
with the most commonly associated schedules and forms.
What you will need to get started:
A completed federal return. You will need information from your
federal return in order to complete your Maryland return.
If you wish to electronically file your federal income
tax return, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has entered into agreements
with several private companies to provide free electronic filing of federal
returns. Some of the companies are including State returns as well. Visit
IRS Free File web page to see if you qualify.

Copies of your W2, W2G, 1099R and 1099G forms.
Microsoft Internet Explorer (vsn 4.0 or greater)
enabled. If you are using Mozilla and experience problems try upgrading
to the latest non-beta version.

directed to the form's iFile interactive application at which
time you will be required to logon to the system if you have
not already done so.
